Description
The objective of this proposal is to apply the Low Power, G-Compensated, Oven Controlled Crystal Oscillator (LPG-OCXO) in order to enable a circuit card which supplies timing in GPS denied applications. This circuit card is designed to operate at low power (<250mW), have a low profile (0.6 inches) and enable excellent timing stability for short term (<20 seconds) and long term (>20 seconds – 24 hours) GPS outages. It also is rugged allowing for excellent phase noise and short term stability even under harsh environments. The main technical challenges involve integration of the LPG-OCXO with timing components which allow for long term timing stability.
