Description
An on-board, integrated oil and fuel monitor is needed to provide accurate automation of shipboard ASTM fluid testing. To support the Navys technological requirements, FTL Labs Corporation (FTL) proposes a powerful new enabling technology for fuel/oil monitoring using a miniaturized combination of sensing modes. FTL's OilEye design includes all fittings, sensors, electronics, and processing necessary to determine particle size distributions (free water and bottom sediment), chemical properties (dissolved water, viscosity, flash point), oil type (additive depletion, biofuel mix), and provide output in standard units that correlate with traditional ASTM tests.
