Description
ABSTRACT: In sensor applications, it is important to monitor smart structures such as buildings, roads, bridges, tunnels, and subways. In this program, Fontus Applied Technologies proposes to develop a health monitoring sensor. Our novel system design minimizes the components needed in the system, thus the system cost, and also alleviates the speed requirement on the demodulating devices. Our proposed is capable of multiplexing a group of more than several separate channels with multiple sensors in each channel.; BENEFIT: Success in the Phase I effort will lead to the commercial fabrication of a new generation advanced health monitoring sensor systems. These systems have a wide range of applications, including military, industrial, and consumer applications.
