Description
The deep jungle canopy forms a natural radio frequency barrier blocking transmissions both into and out of the jungle canopy. In the Phase I effort, GIRD Systems developed and proved the feasibility of a novel system capable of maintaining both digital and voice communication connectivity through the jungle canopy. In Phase II, GIRD Systems proposes further enhancements to the jungle communication technology and will develop prototype hardware to demonstrate the capability to the Army customer.
