Description
GrammaTech proposes Graft, an open tool for the generation of cyber-defense corpora through the grafting of defective code into existing host software.Graft is designed to be highly configurable providing users the /openness/ required of a tool used to compare commercial products and perform security audits, and the /adaptability/ to be re-targeted to diverse and changing defensive tools, host programs and domains, and vulnerability classes.Graft works by iteratively altering a host program using a configurable set of program /mutations/, running the program's test suite to collect concrete values at possible graft points, applying matching grafts and adding the proof of vulnerability (PoV) to the test suite, and then /evaluating/ the program along a number of objectives.
