Description
High bandwidth wireless communications are an enabling technology to providing greater battlespace awareness. Congested and contested spectral environments are creating a new demand for technologies to improve the resiliency of these communications. The U.S. Navy is seeking solutions for a high-capacity, covert communication link providing two-way communication through free space. Covert communications capability ensures link resiliency for relaying critical Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) information. A combination of digital beamforming and resilient waveforms ensures that the communication path is covert, or undetectable, has a low probability of intercept (LPI) or detection (LPD), and jam resilient (AJ). The MaXentric team proposes the development of a SWaP-C efficient, integrated platform, combining coherent multichannel processing for digital beamforming with a highly integrated, wideband, tunable radio frequency (RF) front end, to airborne, high-Speed, wideband, covert communications to the U.S. Navy.
