Description
"Modeling and Simulation (M&S) tools play a key role to assess BMDS operational performance. However, current simulation missions require extensive participation of human testers/operators to configure the network components and maintain the network topology to meet the network architecture and security constraint. This drives up cost and hinders the evaluation and testing process, and also prevents fully automated and repeated simulation and tests. In addition, scattered information is produced during the simulation and tests, which often prevents the user from obtaining a holistic view of the test in terms of its compliance with network and security requirements. This impairs the users ability to accurately and quickly gain the needed understanding of the system under test and evaluation. To address this critical need, Intelligent Automation, Inc (IAI) proposes to develop a User-Configurable Autonomous Establishing and Management of Secure Networks (AiMNET) solution that automates the network establishment and maintenance from a single centralized network control node through network discovery, monitoring, analysis and configuration. The end result of this effort, if successfully developed, will significantly improve the reliable network access to support automated and repeated simulation and tests, and reduce the cost and risks for networking."
