Description
Cloud computing systems are rapidly growing in scale and complexity. The large-scale, complex and dynamic cloud environments make failure recovery and anomaly detection critical yet complex and time consuming tasks. Anti-fragility approaches are based on a concept that some systems could be rather strengthened by volatilities and faults. Hence, high-availability of cloud infrastructures must be complemented by leveraging anti-fragility properties, in order to increase system elasticity and resilience; embracing failure not only in the test environment but also in the production one, which would lead to a better preparation for the inevitable failures that may occur.To address this emerging need, Intelligent Automation Inc. (IAI) proposes the Cyber-Inoculator solution, aimed at building a comprehensive set of multi-layered system tools, methods, and capabilities to incrementally increase overall resiliency of the cloud and virtualization-based productionsystem through fault and error induction, failure analysis and localization,and automated code repair. Cyber-Inoculator neither requires target source code instrumentation nor depends on continuous system monitoring. Cyber-Inoculators are deployed on a host VM of a virtualized server, and supports wide specter number of different cloud-based enterprise fault-tolerant computing architectures.
