Description
In this SBIR Phase 1, Kent Optronics (KOI), proposes to develop a compact High Fidelity Scene Projector/Simulator capable of Hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) testing across various spectral bands throughout the near UV, visible and the short wave infrared (SWIR), Mid-wave infrared (MWIR), and Long Wave infrared (LWIR).The simulator aims at the following key remarkable features:Scenes bandwidth range from UV to LWIR;Super Ultra High resolution capability of 4kx2k pixel format for as many spectral bands as feasible; minimum of 1536x1526 spatial resolution in longest waveband.Large Simulator Field of view (FOV) up to 20o;High Fidelity Amplitude exceeding resistor array capability,Increased monochrome amplitude resolution approaching up to 16-bit under optimal conditions. In Phase I, a thorough trade analysis among all the candidate approaches will be performed, leading to an optimal simulator design. In Phase II, a pre-prototype will be developed from the sponsors down-selected choice.
