Description

Mimyr is proposing an innovative solution called the Dynamically Enabled Network Tablets (DENT) system that will allow for true cross compatibility between EFB and ATAK electronic kneeboards. This solution will allow the functionalities, features, and capabilities of each system to share a single display, reducing the cognitive load and mental stress a pilot currently experiences when juggling both systems while operating complex military aircraft. By reducing this impact to pilots, the capability, efficiency, and response time of current aerial systems can be increased, particularly during close air support (CAS) missions. The flexibility, ease of future enhancements, low development cost, and maintenance of security classifications make DENT a unique approach for this solicitation. DENT accomplishes this by creating a innovatively secure low overhead method of remote access and control, while providing intelligent streamlining of commands to increase both usability and familiarity of end systems. In addition, DENT achieves this without reliance on cumbersome emulation and virtualization techniques, creating a low risk and high performance option for cross compatibility.
