Description
Compact pulse width tunable laser operating at a pulse repetition rate of 8 Hz to 100 Hz and with pulse energy from 1 - 10 mJ have been considered to be an enabling technology for Army to evaluate seeker performance. PolarOnyx proposes a novel approach targeting to make reliable high energy ultra large core fiber laser at 1064 nm and employing our proprietary technologies in specialty fibers and pulse shaping techniques. At the end of Phase 1, feasibility experiment will be demonstrated in laying out the pathway towards 10 mJ high energy with pulse width tunable from 2 ns to 160 ns. A prototype will be delivered at the end of Phase II.
