Description
RCT Systems, in conjunction with the government and key industry contacts, will develop performance goals/requirements for energy storage device bus bar cooling (e.g., batteries, ultra-capacitors, etc.) consistent with high voltage, military applications. RCT Systems innovative cooling concepts will be traded and optimized for heat removal, packaging density, efficiency, reliability, manufacturability and cost for liquid cooled applications. Feasibility of selected concepts are demonstrated by analysis in Phase I and bench to tests of COTS hardware. A business plan outlining a development road map, key technical milestones and commercialization strategies will be generated. Plans for integrated hardware demonstration and testing will be developed to support Phase II proposal efforts. Successful outcome of Phase II efforts will lead to performance tested TRL 5-6 hardware ready for Phase III qualification, certification and implementation in a shipboard trial.
