Description

At present, there is no certified/accredited Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP)-based solution for cross-domain voice and video that can support more than two domains. The desired IOC end state for the new MDAVS technology is a fundamentally new architecture that supports more than two simultaneous domains and can manage much larger numbers of concurrent calls while supporting high definition video (up to 1080p resolution) and IPv6 (including IPsec). This new architecture will scale with call volume rather than the number of domains. The Multi-Domain Audio Video System (MDAVS) technology will utilize distributed servers for each domain, and can support three or more domains, hundreds of concurrent high definition video calls and thousands of concurrent audio calls, depending on the connected infrastructure.
