Description

ABSTRACT: Triton Systems will develop a low-profile, low-power armament-safe, AIT solution for wireless transmission of armament environmental condition monitoring. The proposed solution uses a wireless sensor suite to transmit collected environmental sensor data on an armament without armament modifications.During Phase I, Triton proposes to develop a low-profile, low-power environmental monitoring system for AF armaments using a wireless transmitting data system. The system will utilize techniques to keep it self-powered for up to 20 years. The Phase I effort is to demonstrate the feasibility of this goal. During Phase II, a full scale design will be fabricated and demonstrated in appropriate environments to allow transition into the field for the US Air Force.; BENEFIT: The proposed Phase I effort will demonstrate a low-profile and low-power armament monitoring system with power management.We anticipate that a successful PhaseI effort will lead to refinements in the design, lower the cost of the design, and increase its power efficiency to last 20 years in service.The Phase I effort will provide a base for the development of higher TRL design.In the Phase II and Phase III efforts, a full-scale design will be fabricated and demonstrated in appropriate environments to allow transition into the field for the US Air Force.During Phase II and Phase III triton will work to reduce costs of the design to make them more affordable for large orders.
