Description
High fidelity radar propagation prediction is key for the Surface Navy in (a) understanding the radars ability to detect targets at different ranges and altitudes, (b) identifying radar blind spots or radar dead zones, e.g., due to super-refraction or sub-refraction, and (c) understanding the threat of detection by enemy receivers due to abnormal propagation phenomenon such as ducting. IAI proposes to optimize weather forecasting and propagation models using advanced computation architectures and demonstrate the benefits of optimization and acceleration by testing against a benchmark case satisfying the requirements of the Navy.
