Description

Low volume liquid dispensers are extensively used in high throughput screening and diagnostic applications Reagent dispensing errors caused by tip clogging or incorrect calibration are a common problem resulting in considerable cost and delay in the screening process due to quality control failures and required rescreening Through this SBIR Phase II contract the Contractor will address this need by developing and commercializing a low cost versatile instrument for non invasive monitoring of commercial low volume liquid dispensing systems The system software will be optimized to enable automated operation whereby the monitoring instrument will control the dispensing cycle without modifying the dispenser hardware or software
