Description
The objective of the proposed project is the development of methods for secure battlefield communication with munitions to ensure orientation and position and target information accuracy; to eliminate the possibility of spoofing; to enhance target intercept capabilities; and to increase target intercept precision and lethality. The methods for secure battlefield communication to munitions and the development of related technologies are of particular importance for long range munitions since their angular orientation and positioning errors can accumulate during their significantly longer flights, requiring correctional information communication from weapon platforms or central control stations. The proposed innovative method concept enables the development of a highly secure communication system that is seamlessly integrated with an RF based munition onboard position and orientation sensory system. The developed system would conceal the transmitted information to munitions in the battlefield from fire control stations and battle management system and other target designating platforms, such as UAVs and UGVs.
