Description
ABSTRACT: The objective of this effort is to use proven composite technologies to develop a new composite 463L pallet design to be used as a replacement for the current system. The objective will be reached by taking these new technologies through subscale testing followed by developing a number of complete pallets for full scale simulation testing. This will culminate in the delivery of six complete 463L pallets for post Phase II environmental/airworthiness certification. This objective includes developing a 463L pallet solution with fewer environmental consequences and which is cost effective to produce and reduces total ownership cost through longer life and reduced maintenance and disposal, to be used by the Air Force and other Department of Defense DoD organizations. BENEFIT: Develop a new 463L composite pallet which is field repairable and lighter in weight.
