Description
Toyon Research Corporation proposes to develop a video‐processing based automated passenger counter (APC) system that includes trip‐making information. The system utilizes commercially available hardware and novel, high performance algorithms to provide the desired passenger information for route planning and modifications. The algorithm development is focused on a novel extension to avideo‐based recognition algorithm that utilizes the unique constraints within the APC domain to improve accuracy.
