Description
Akita Innovations proposes to develop a rugged, highly effective antifog coating for military eyewear based on UV-curing of novel hydrophilic and lipophobic polymers. The lipophobic property of our coating will both help keep the eyewear clean and will prevent contamination of the surface by oils from degrading the antifog property of the coating. The coating will be designed to permit facile, inexpensive application on high-speed eyewear lens manufacturing lines, and will be compatible with and not reduce the ballistic performance of current military polycarbonate protective eyewear.
