Description
KCF will develop and prove the feasibility of a new powered orthotic device that will assist patients by using KCF?s actuator technologies to provide apply forces with the fingers, providing the hand strength to complete day-to-day tasks while muscles are recovering. The device will also act as a rehabilitation tool, using KCF?s wireless monitoring capabilities to track the patient?s progress for doctors and physical therapists and using the strength-providing actuators for active resistance during exercises, speeding up the return of muscle strength and flexibility in the fingers.
