Description
Photon Spot will demonstrate the feasibility of simultaneously achieving near unity system detection efficiency, sub-Hz system dark count rate, >1 GHz count rates, and an ultra-small form factor in a superconducting nanowire single-photon detector system. We will fabricate detectors with high detection efficiencies in Phase I and implement novel methods to improve the count rate and form factor beyond the state of the art in commercially available systems.
