Description
The objective of the program is to reduce the weight of pressure vessels in an Attitude Control System (ACS) for next generation interceptor missiles. Weight reduction will be achieved through the use of higher temperature composite materials for pressure containment. The program will include development of the pressure vessel to withstand thermal and pressure loading as well as the Integration of thermal insulation with the composite case. The component performance will be measured with component level proof and burst testing at room and operating temperatures. Approved for Public Release 14-MDA-7979 (16 September14).
