Description

To adequately protect underground pipelines, a coating (including polyurethane foams) must conduct CP current when disbondment occurs. The realization of a reliable, multi-functional process/material system that can ensure urethane foams not only perform in harmony with CP, but establishing the worthiness of their continued use would be of major benefit to the national transportation system. Sencontrology proposes multiple technologies for process monitoring capabilities that can be realized to substantiate continued use of these foam systems in the field. Data modeling in software could be accomplished for a powerful platform of data analysis to mitigate corrosion and manage infrastructure. Secontrology would be well positioned for development that could prove to be state-of-the-art in terms of actual sensor-driven CP modeling applied to underground oil & gas pipelines. Efforts required nationwide to prevent corrosion on aging pipeline infrastructure is daunting. The upside market potential is attractive for remote sensing, including the Federal Government, with respect to numerous communications referencing great need to construct new oil & gas pipelines. By leveraging upon a number of advantages afforded by its sensor measurement strategies, Sencontrology forthcoming line of products could have a variety of automotive, industrial, and military markets.
