Description
Routing protocols are used in mobile ad hoc networks (MANETs) to enable multi-hop transmission. Traditional MANET protocols suffer from a multitude of well-documented security vulnerabilities. Emerging low-state protocols (LSPs) for routing are inherently more secure than traditional approaches; however, because they are so new, they have not yet been fully hardened against advanced threats. In Phase I of this program, TrellisWare will develop a comprehensive set of countermeasures that will secure LSPs for use in complex space network environments. The resulting ultra-secure routing protocols will be demonstrated on military and commercial Android platforms in Phase II.
