Description
Corvid Technologies in collaboration with Dynetics, Inc ("Dynetics") is pleased to present the following proposal to the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) SBIR solicitation MDA12-028 entitled Improved Target Discrimination of Multiple Targets Using Bulk Filtering for Debris. This proposal will demonstrate our plan to identify and evaluate signal processing techniques and algorithms that will minimize the system degradation caused by dense threat complexes, consisting of large numbers of uninteresting ballistic objects. We will discuss a Debris Bulk Filtering algorithm, we are currently developing, that will de-emphasize the non-threatening objects, allowing the MDA radar sensors to focus on the principal functions of acquiring, tracking, and discriminating the primary threat objects. We will evaluate the performance of this algorithm against multiple scenarios including cases where the primary threat objects are contained within debris originating from chuffing, separation, or intercept events.
