Description
Physical Sciences Inc. proposes to develop and demonstrate a scale-up process for desensitizing prilled ADN oxidizer for use in composite solid propellants. Our multi-functional stabilizer coated prilled ADN ingredient will provide superior thermal stability, hydrophobicity, isocyanate compatibility and impact insensitivity. In Phase II, we will build upon our Phase I success to develop a scalable prilling and coating process that is affordable and easy to implement on the industrial scale. We will characterize the efficacy of our coated ADN particles as a function of scale-up to ensure processing reliability and a desensitized ADN.
