Description
Scalvy proposes to replace existing heavy, single-point-failure-prone electric motor powertrains (e-powertrains) with multiple smaller units that each perform all the tasks of standard e-powertrains. These independent but interoperable units will increase battery efficiency, add redundancy and safety, and simplify supply lines. The aim of this Phase I is to form collaborative partnerships with companies already funded by Agility Prime to test the feasibility of designing and developing an eVTOL prototype that is lighter, faster, safer, and less expensive to produce than the existing prototypes.
