Description
Application layer attacks against mission-critical software have increased 800% between 2019 and 2020 becoming the single biggest cause of data breaches. As the USAF modernizes the F-22 and implements the JADC2 framework, cyber security must be meticulously embodied throughout the development and deployment of mission-critical applications to prevent and respond to state actors attempting to extract, exploit, or distort safety related data. Existing COTs solutions attempt to characterize every incoming threat on the network, endpoint, or application, resulting in massive amounts of irrelevant information requiring humans in the loop for analysis leading to delayed decision-making, overloaded cyber defense teams, high false positive rates, and increased vulnerabilities. SemanticGuard will work with the ACC A5A and the F-22 Program Office to adapt GUARDxTM, its Application Specific Protection, Detection, and Response platform designed to safeguard national security assets. SemanticGuard will collaborate with USAF product teams to meet F-22 requirements and test and deploy the SBIR-enhanced GUARDxTM solution to protect legacy applications and emerging applications during the development and deployment process. SemanticGuard will coordinate with the F-22 Program Office to secure a CtF and ATO to ensure development and deployment move at the speed of relevance and stay ahead of our nation state adversaries.
