Description
SNVY has requested its supplier base to produce three copies of the referenced 8-inch stainless steel swing check valve body using LPBF AM technology. Successful component fabrication of the item, named the 748 Body, in 316L Stainless Steel and satisfactory testing of material specimens (and component testing) will support qualification of the machine and procedure. Witness specimens will be fabricated with every component build to provide coupons for verification of material properties. The qualified AM components will be assembled on valves following post-processing and final certification. The large swing check valve geometry is Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and Sintavia has received geometry via secured methods and has saved such data on its secure drive. Sintavia will be responsible for fabricating these three valve bodies in accordance with the requirements received and as defined in its scope of work.
