Description
There is a need for transportable alternative energy systems capable of providing renewable electric power. The proposed Portable Array Module (PAM) meets this need, promising a new age of sustainable clean energy production and portability in situations where highly reliable energy sources must be established and maintained within a very short timeframe. Within PAM, renewable power is generated by high efficiency solar cells that are deployed rapidly using a unique deployable composite array structure. Every PAM power system stows within a ruggedized canister for easy transport to the desired location. Once on site PAM power modules unroll in a matter of seconds. Two PAM solar arrays have been designed, one is designed per the USMC GREENS power system specifications, and the other is designed per the USMC SPACES power system specifications.
