In an effort to facilitate and further expedite the integration of the JTRS MUOS waveform to a large diversity of hardware platforms, GIRD Systems seeks to define and develop a methodology, including necessary tools and artifacts, needed to assess and improve the waveform portability effort. The developments are intended to be hardware agnostic and will provide the necessary artifacts to reduce the overall cost and schedule required to port the MUOS waveform to other platforms. The end goal of the program is to facilitate the next logical step in the proliferation of the MUOS service, such that it is as pervasive as the legacy UHF service is, by accelerating the deployment of ground terminals across all the different services. The ease of waveform portability will play a major role in accomplishing such a goal
