ABSTRACT: Nanohmics Inc., working in collaboration with Professor Gennady Shvets at the University of Texas at Austin, proposes to develop a handheld tactical imaging system for tunable band imaging based on a sensor array that can be fabricated directly on silicon, but uses a novel detection method that enables high selectivity/sensitivity over a broad spectral range from ultraviolet to long wave IR. The device will be designed for lightweight, low-power imaging applications such as low visibility environments (e.g. dust clouds, fog, etc.).
