Description
TrellisWare proposes a joint analog and digital interference cancellation (JADIC) solution that will enable electromagnetic compatibility between counter-IED RF jammers and multiple friendly RF systems -- with a particular focus on Blue Force Tracker and UHF SATCOM signals. Analog-only approaches to interference cancellation (IC) provide insufficient jammer signal suppression, while optical IC solutions have thus far been proven only for narrowband signals in controlled laboratory environments. TrellisWare therefore proposes to augment existing analog IC technology with a powerful Digital Interference Cancellation Engine (DIC) that employs such advanced signal processing techniques as Per-Survivor Processing (PSP) and Adaptive Iterative Detection (AID) to extract -- with high probability -- the signal-of-interest from the residual signal output by the analog IC circuit.
