Description
Demonstration of a 5 kW Advanced Hydrogen Purification System that will reduce the sulfur impurity of reformed JP5 from 66 ppm to<10 ppm and reduce carbon monoxide to<100 ppm is the overarching objective of this program. We will design and construct Membrane Separation Modules using membrane fabricated at Ohio State University, the Research Institute, and install these in an Advanced Hydrogen Purification system Test Article. The Test Article will control the temperature and reactant removal rates. Testing will be conducted at Precision Combustion Inc. Evaluation of the performance of the 5 kW Advanced Hydrogen Purification System will permit component optimization. At the conclusion of the effort, we will have demonstrated the design and performance of the Advanced Hydrogen Purification system to reduce the sulfur impurities to
