Description
Important applications such as chemical sensing call for compact, broadband, high brightness lasers in the critical 3 -5 micron region of the mid-infrared spectrum. We propose to first design (Phase I) and then to produce (Phase II) a high power, broadband QCL source that can be rapidly tuned over>100 nm and is inherently rugged in its design. To accomplish this, we will integrate our patent-pending QCL array technology and several other QCL innovations developed recently by EOS Photonics, Inc..
