Description
The Triton team successfully demonstrated the capability of developing a portable personal air mobility system for the DoD in its Phase I effort through analysis, simulation, and prototyping leading to live flight testing that exceeded the 5km range requirement. The completed system will be easy to use, reliable, portable, quiet, and well-suited to the needs of the application. Auxiliary features enable users to ergonomically carry payloads and to launch more easily/reliably. Noise reduction is achieved through a combination of fundamental engineering principles and novel propulsion system developments, in addition to the use of flight components exclusive to our team that lead the industry in efficiency and performance. The Phase II effort will continue the development of this system and culminate in a live technology demonstration that implements all of the relevant features described within this proposal. The Phase II will set the foundation for transition of the design to other DoD customers for further application specialization, refinement, and near-term deployment and commercialization.
