Description
This effort has two main objectives. The first is to determine the existence of characterize, and evaluate the utility of a number of postulated SBIED signatures related to the presence of an SBIED explosives belt. These signatures will be explored using a commercial interferometric imaging system viewing a surrogate SBIED in a laboratory environment. The second objective is to develop a design concept for a prototype eye-safe, field-deployable imaging interferometer SBIED detection system that is capable of detecting those postulated SBIED signatures found to be viable at ranges of 100 meters and longer.
