Description
The Air Force and other DoD agencies currently administer BFI Personality Tests to new recruits and other personnel through the Tailored Adaptive Personality Assessment System (TAPAS) to assess their personality and motivation and to predict their performance, behaviors, attitudes, and attrition. While this individual assessment provides helpful information, individual personality testing has not proven particularly useful in forming teams as it is not highly reliable in predicting if teams will function as high-performing units. The proposed AI-based solution will enable newly formed teams to take a modified version of the TAPAS assessment combined with Swarm AI technology in order to more accurately predict if the unique mix of personalities and attitudes within the team is likely to result in a cohesive and high-functioning unit. The technology will also be explored for use in assessing and remediating under-performing teams.
