Description
In order to provide reliable, multi-hop transport of latency-critical tactical data, an autonomic airborne mesh infrastructure comprising thousands of nodes will require a radically different approach to wireless networking than the link-based protocol stack traditionally studied. TrellisWare's Barrage Relay Networks (BRNs) -- which have already been validated as a next-generation tactical MANET solution for ground-based edge communications -- provide just such an architectural framework. TrellisWare proposes to leverage the BRN framework in the design of critical enabling technologies for a 1000+ node airborne mesh.
