Description

Venti proposes a new option that expands on a proven prototype sensor system [Intelipod®]to deploy a small-to-large constellation of mission tailored sensor units (Intelipods). These sensor units are small, light weight, with customized detection capabilities and form factor, rugged, scalable, and low cost/attritable. Intelipods as presently configured contain the following: radio, GPS receiver, temperature, VOC, humidity, atmospheric pressure sensors, accelerometer, and a 12-hour battery (the pods can also be connected to an external power source).  The proposed system will be modified to also incorporate mission specific sensors such as radiation, chemical agents, IR, EO, and acoustic signatures. The constellation will be adapted for longer range remote deployment with a communications architecture to reduce the probability of intercept and detection even in over-the-horizon scenarios. Users: The Intelipod system was initially designed and field tested for first responders/HAZMAT crews for real time situational awareness during major emergency events. Recently this has expanded to include CBRNE/HAZMAT scenarios which address the counter-terrorism threat for public safety agencies. This capability has clear military and intelligence collection utility as well. Potential applicable scenarios could be expanded to include treaty verification/monitoring, intrusion detection, area threat monitoring, and significant environmental changes (fires, spills, flooding).    Patent Number: 10,798,333
