Description

According to the DoD Software Modernization Strategy, delivering a more lethal force requires the ability to evolve faster and be more adaptable than our adversaries. The DoD's adaptability increasingly relies on software and the ability to securely and rapidly deliver resilient software capability is a competitive advantage that will define future conflicts. Transforming software delivery times from years to minutes will require significant change to our processes, policies, workforce, and technology. The DAF’s competitive advantage, today and tomorrow, is reliant on strategic insight, proactive innovation, and effective technology integration enabled through software capabilities. Software modernization, the ability to quickly deliver high-quality, secure software through reuse, acquisition, or custom development, must be part of the DAF's DNA. The 309th Software Engineering Group is leading the way to meet this challenge. One of their pivotal strategies to accomplish this is the integration artificial intelligence (AI) into DevSecOps. Robert Devincent, 309th SWEG’s chief software officer said, AIOps is poised to be the "future of DevSecOps.“ Utilizing Voltron’s ADE and created Reference Architecture Demonstration Lab will help the Air Force better integrate artificial intelligence (AI) into DevSecOps, modernize aircraft weapons systems, and support the DoD software modernization strategy through application of Apache Arrow, RAPIDS, BlazingSQL, and Arrow Flight.
