America’s technological advantage is eroding. Over the last decade, China has poured billions of dollars into initiatives to overtake the West as a leader in technological innovation such as 5G networks, biotechnology, quantum computing and artificial intelligence. Gen. Paul J. Selva, former vice chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, has warned that the Chinese military could reach technological parity with the United States in the early 2020s and outpace the Pentagon in the 2030s, if the U.S. military doesn’t respond to the challenge. Workera is a first-of-its kind assessment and learning platform for artificial intelligence and data science instruction. Our computer adaptive tests assess an individual’s mastery of over 1,000 micro skills necessary for specific jobs. Using our database of hundreds of global companies and thousands of Silicon Valley employees and top-tier CS graduate students, Workera benchmarks data/AI skill sets, real time, against industry peers and provides hyper-specific, personalized learning paths using open-source, paid and custom content to fill in skills gaps. Through conversations with SAF/SAA, Workera has identified a need for this kind of precision assessment and training in a wide variety of learning domains across the Air Force: pilot, maintenance, cybersecurity and across any Career Field Education and Training Plans (CFETP). Workera can develop an authoring tool to allow Air Force personnel to layer specific learning and assessment content into Workera’s competency-based assessments and  AI-powered learning paths.
