Description

The Wireless-Electric Grid Local Area Network (WiGL) uses patented technologies that utilize wireless far-field energy transfer to share peer-to-peer directed electromagnetic radiation (EMR) on a wireless local area network (WLAN) to smartly power and/or recharge electronic devices.  WiGL (pronounced “wiggle”) enables peer-to-peer touchless Wireless Power Transfer (tWPT) to remotely recharge/power mission critical devices using same simplicity as a WiFi LAN accessing the internet. WiGL turns any AC/DC connected device into a tWPT transmitter, connects transmitters-to-transmitters and forms ad-hoc WiGL meshed networks.  WiGL is a smart method for the routing of tWPT peer-to-peer power, creating intelligent wireless microgrid-power Local Area Networks, Personal Area Networks, or Wide Area Networks. This unique capability allows infinite mobility of devices while roaming, similar to how mobile phones stay connected to cellular coverage or WiFi.   WiGL thus disrupts traditional “wired” recharging by eliminating the need for near charger-device proximity. While being frequency-agnostic, WiGL has demonstrated radio frequency (RF) to direct current (DC) harvesting using standard WiFi frequencies.   Working with Security Forces Innovation Center to explore evolution of WiGL. Specifically, how WiGL can provide safe wireless peer-to-peer electrical power sharing to the warfighter that reduces the logistic tale while adding greater operational efficiency….to increase lethality.
