Description
The Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) Image Generation Data Augmentation (SIGDA) system is achieved using SAR simulators and the Arete’s Reification approach. Large, realistic datasets will be generated using the Arete Reification capability. These large Reified datasets are then used to train machine learning or Artificial Intelligence (AI), Automatic Target Recognition (ATR) classification algorithms for SAR as well as other remote sensor applications. The resulting SIGDA system using SAR simulations and Reification addresses directly one of the know shortcomings that have hindered acceptance and adoption of deep learning classification capabilities, namely the lack of real data for training and the potential limited accuracy of simulated data
