Description
In this activity, we will develop a new technical data package (TDP) at a Level 3 Production level per MIL-STD-31000 definition. Once we have this technical data package, we can determine the product requirements and develop a strategy for manufacture, testing, and SAR submission. This will also help us define the costs associated with these requirements and establish if we need a new budget for further development in a Phase 2 effort. We will require at least one sample and preferably 3 samples. We will reverse engineer the NSN item to develop the technical information. The TDP is a technical description of an item adequate for supporting an acquisition strategy, development, manufacturing development, production, engineering, and logistics throughout the item's lifecycle. The technical description defines the required design configuration and procedures required to ensure adequacy of item performance. A TDP is comprised of a variety of data that will define the item. A level 3 production TDP consists of those elements necessary to provide the design engineering, manufacturing, inspection, packaging, and quality management system provisions necessary to enable the procurement or manufacture of an item. The product shall be defined to the extent necessary for a qualified manufacturer to produce an item, which duplicates the physical, interface, and functional characteristics of the original product, without additional design engineering effort or recourse to the current design activity. Production data shall reflect the approved, tested, and accepted configuration of the defined delivered item. BC Engineered Products (BCEP) engineering drawings are developed to ASME Y14.100 and ISO 9001:2015 QMS. This item requires reverse engineering, BCEP engineering specification drawings will be generated for manufacturing and source control documentation. In this Phase 1 we will coordinate and implement our manufacturing processes and control documents with the manufacturing team. We will develop a preliminary SAR for submission on these projects.
