Description
Corvid, in partnership with the University of Washington, proposes the novel solution of solving an optimal pursuit-evader hypersonic scenario. Our approach will allow the team to generate optimal trajectories for a defensive missile system in real-time, while accounting for hypersonic target dynamics and responses to defensive maneuvers. University of Washington, recognized experts in the nascent field of convex optimization for trajectory generation, will extend previous basic research and demonstrated optimal control algorithms from the single player scenarios to the differential game application using two non-cooperative players. Additionally, with extremely fast solutions the team will be able to stochastically analyze the problem space across a large variety of threat dynamic models, scenarios, and interceptor missile characteristics using Corvid’s High Performance Computer (HPC). The use of the HPC will be critical in analyzing the guidance algorithms in the context of optimizing the battle management problem of when and from where to launch an interceptor missile.
