Description
Corvid Technologies and Leidos are partnering to create a coupling framework designed for full-body TPS thermostructural analysis through an entire hypersonic trajectory. Corvid will demonstrate the framework by coupling their commercial RavenCFD flow solver with their commercial hydrostructural/thermal FEA solver Velodyne to capture aeroheating, non-linear thermostructural response, and ablation for the duration of a trajectory. The framework will be designed to reduce user interaction, with automated mesh motion and code-to-code communication. Application to full body TPS and long flight times is enabled by aeroheating-focused CFD run times and film-coefficient based aeroheating boundary conditions.
