Description

Ghost Robotics Corporation’s Quadrupedal Unmanned Ground Vehicle (Q-UGV) is a 4-legged modular robot that presents a life saving and time saving alternative to human presence patrols that will help Ellsworth AFB and Air Force elements operating in austere environments maintain their force protection footing during extreme wind and cold conditions. During this proposed Phase II, Ghost Robotics will partner with Ellsworth AFB’s 28 Mission Support Group (MSG) and 28 Security Forces Squadron (SFS) for a proof of concept to demonstrate how the Q-UGV robots can be modified and engineered through RDT&E to operate through extreme wind speeds and sustained cold temperatures typical of these locations. The result will be a ruggedized Q-UGV patrol robot that continuously operates through austere wind and cold conditions so bases and forward deployed Air Force elements maintain an elevated force protection footing, regardless of the environmental conditions.
