Description
Successful enhancement of the user interface and user experience for the Global Combat Support System – Army (GCSS-A) requires a solution that intuitively and intelligently guides users through transactions and processes with integrity, flexibility, and low maintenance. We propose and will demonstrate that applying Salesforce and Amazon Web Services (AWS) solutions as technology layers on top of the legacy ERP system following a “post-modern ERP” concept will offer the most innovative solution and long-term benefits to the government. Our approach leverages the underlying and inherent innovation available with both Salesforce and AWS to enable modern experiences for GCSS-A users without undergoing a major overhaul of the system. Additionally, our approach uses declarative configuration versus custom code which speeds up delivery time, reduces future issues, and mitigates many commercialization and operations risks. Ultimately, even the simplest version of our solution offers immediate benefits to GCSS-A users and can be quickly developed and expanded.
